About Us

Bosavern House has a fascinating history with links to King Henry VIII and Sir Humphrey Davey - combined with smugglers tunnels and a friendly ghost. The house was built in the 1620's and then extended and "modernised" in the mid-19th century. Its imposing exterior conceals an interior of warmth and comfort, brought about by sympathetic restoration and modernisation. We will do our best to provide anything you need to make your stay here as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Your day begins at Bosavern House with breakfast in the dining room or conservatory which benefit from the morning sunshine. We are pleased to offer an extensive breakfast menu which uses the finest Cornish produce available in addition to our homemade muesli, jams and yoghurt. The eggs are from our own hens when they oblige! Enjoy a delicious traditional breakfast cooked to your order, sample an option featuring locally smoked fish, or indulge in a luscious fruit platter - your biggest problem will be deciding which dish to choose.

At the end of the afternoon you can return to Bosavern House to unwind and reflect upon your day - maybe with a glass of wine or Cornish beer from our bar. Our sitting room has plenty of comfy sofas and a good library of books about Cornwall and our local area. Alternatively why not chose a DVD, sit back and relax! During the winter months the room is even cosier when the log fire is burning.

In the summer, you might like to return earlier in the afternoon and sample one of our traditional Cornish cream teas. We offer a lovely menu of home-baked goodies to tempt you. If you do not want to spoil your appetite for dinner, you can always indulge in a small dish of Cornish clotted cream icecream, perhaps with a few fresh strawberries or raspberries.

Finally, in this age of new technology, we are pleased to provide broadband access to the internet, either using our laptop or your own laptop if it is wifi enabled.
